“I confess to Paddy and to you my fellow bingo roomies that I have transgressed. On Christmas Eve my mum had the turkey cooked and left out in kitchen covered with a tea towel to stand for a while before she sliced it down. A while later she popped round to her mates to give Xmas pressies for mates grandkids.
I saw me own mate pass the window and went out and gave him a shout to see what plans he had for later that night. We had a wee blether and then I came back in……. to find the neighbours 2 cats had come in the door I’d left open (yikes!!) and they were devouring the turkey!!
Omg 11 peeps coming for Xmas dinner n a turkey full of cat hairs and teeth marks!! I wiped off the cat hairs n quickly sliced the turkey down. When me mum came back about half hour later I kept schtum even though I felt bad when she gave me a big hug for saving her a job.
On Xmas day I was verryyyyyy careful to avoid the bits of turkey that had wee teeth marks in! But no harm done cos no one was sick, no one grew a tail and everyone praised mums dinner so much she went round grinning like a cheshire cat (stuffed with turkey lol!)
So I’d like to say sorry mum …. and if she reads this she will kill me so if I win can you use £100 to send flowers for me funeral pmsl!!”
