Oh Paddy Power I’m awful sad…

I had a big win and should be glad,

But I’ve played Bingo so much this week

My Big Win’s looking decidedly meek

And if my husband finds out

He’s going to freak!!

See I got conceited and thought I’d win again

Now I’m defeated and like a nervous hen

I’m just waiting for him indoors to see

Our Bank balance, very depleted by me.

He’ll lay an egg or two when he finds out

He’ll curse and swear , yell and shout

He told me I should’nt , said I wouldn’t win

He told me to be happy, put my dauber in the bin.

But I didn’t listen and played and played

Now I may end up flayed…

The numbers now hate me, that’s plain to see

I wish I’d been sensible but that’s just not me.

I should have kept it all towards Christmas gifts

But now its half gone there’ll be family rifts…

So Dear Paddy My Christmas wish

Is nothing fancy, no horse and carriage…

I just need to have £100 to save my marriage!!
