Hello everyone,
For 16 years growing up in my house we had a dog “Elvis” whom we got when I was just 5. With four girls in the house and he the only male he was of coarse adored! We were all so devestated when we had to put him down 3 years ago due to old age. We were all by his side when he had his last few minutes in the world and he knew it. We always had a dog in our house so when Elvis was gone it was time for a knew one dog to look after. Although he would never be forgotten, Mum being in the house on her own when we all were at work needed the company - so we got Mollie a dulux dog!
Mollie is alot bigger then elvis and has a completely different personality. She is young, loves attention and to be honest a bit of a character. The funniest story I can think to tell is last year at Christmas in my aunts house when my whole family (13 in the house !) were downstairs, while I was upstairs in my bedroom and Mollie was out the back on her lead tied to a table. Whilst watching telly in a room upstairs I started to hear a scraping noise coming from outside. Thinking it was just builders I ignored it. But afew minutes later it got louder and louder so I decided to have a look out the window.
I had to look twice, all I saw was a big white and grey dog on a lead tied to a very heavy wooden garden table out on a busy main road !!!! In panic I ran downstairs shouting ” Mollie is out on the road with the table ” well my hole family thought I had lost the plot completely. But anxious to see if what i was saying were true they had a look. My eyes hadnt played any games Mollie was on the road with the table. They were all shocked and relieved that no harm had come to her. Luckily a kind lady took her off the lead and was calling into houses to see who owned her when we all came running out !
I couldnt believe that she had managed to drag this very heavy wooden table that a strong man would have difficulty in lifting down a very long drive way and onto the main road !!!We all thought that she would be safe there. I laugh just thinking about it but thankfully no harm came to her and hope that she will live just as long as Elvis did.
