“A couple of years ago I promised my friend that I would help her out by looking after her clothes shop for the day whilst she went to the UK to buy some more products. I walked down to the shop and opened up - all of the time thinking that there was something that I had forgot to do - whilst sitting there - I remembered that I had put on some eggs to boil and could not remember if I had turned them off - I dashed out of the shop, locked the door and ran up the road home - when I got in the kitchen was full of smoke - I had left the eggs on - so I spent a good hour cleaning everywhere and then walked down to the shop - as I came round the corner - there was a crowd outside the shop and I couldn’t understand why - as I came through the crowd I realised why - I had only locked two customers in the shop - they were totally distraught and were knocking on the window to passers by to attract their attention and shouting help - I soon realised then and explained to a whole crowd what had happened - I don’t think I will be asked to help again!”
